A blower door test involves placing a large fan and canvas frame in an exterior door and blowing air outside to create a negative pressure inside the home.  By depressurizing your home, the leaks in the building envelope will be exaggerated and easy to find.  Large leaks can be felt with your hand, and smaller leaks are seen with a smoke puffer.  Many leaks are found in unexpected places.
