Summit Construction of NY, Inc., owned by Pete Glogowski, the President
of the Company, is a general contractor like no other. Summit continually
researches new products, technology and techniques, so whenever we had
questions or were making a selection, we had many options offered to us,
with consideration and attention to cost in all aspects and stages of
construction.
Consistency
and communication are two very unusual and welcome qualities
to have in a contractor, and Summit has them both. We were living 1000
miles away from the site until it was complete enough to be issued a temporary
certificate of occupancy. During the last two months there was a Summit
worker on site first thing nearly every morning, completing the interior
work. We always knew who would be on-site,
including all sub-contractors, about when they would be there and what they’d
be doing.
And, finally, management is computer savvy. As a result, we were kept informed regularly, with narratives and pictures via email.

Summit Construction recently built a new deck for us made out of composite materials. Not only was the price extremely competitive, but the quality of service and workmanship were outstanding. Summit was more concerned with building a quality deck than rushing through the project. They used 2x10 joists with flashing and installed a double ledger plate with drain channel to ensure solid construction and to help eliminate the possibility of mold or rot. They also engaged me in the process prior to making any decisions so that I knew exactly what I would get and how the deck would look. I would definitely recommend Summit Construction to others.

Summit Construction built two decks for our camp at Lake Nancy. The goal
was to replace one existing deck that had become unsafe as well as to
construct a small platform deck off the front of the house to make access
easier. Summit Construction rose to the cause and was able to complete
the job not only in a timely manner, but despite several change orders,
within budget. This is a seasonal property and despite this unplanned
(by us) project, we did not miss out on any planned usage. We would highly
recommend Summit Construction for others and will invite them back for
additional work on our properties as well.
